A Legacy of Service and Leadership

Rotary International District 3060 is a distinguished region within Rotary’s global network, covering parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and the Union territory of Daman, Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli. Established in 1936 with the chartering of the Rotary Club of Baroda, the district has evolved into a powerhouse of humanitarian service, leadership development, and international fellowship.

The district’s geographic diversity brings together vibrant cities and towns, each contributing unique cultural and economic strengths. Gujarat, the birthplace of iconic leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, enriches the district with a legacy of civic engagement and social reform. Rotary clubs across District 3060 actively champion causes such as education, healthcare, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Maternal and Child Health, Protecting the Environment and youth empowerment, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to sustainable development.

District 3060 is also known for nurturing future leaders through programs like Rotary Youth Exchange, Rotary Friendship Exchange, RYLA, Interact, and Rotaract. It has proudly produced two prominent Rotary International leaders: Past RI President Kalyan Banerjee and Past RI Director Dr. Manoj Desai, whose contributions have elevated the district’s global stature.

In alignment with Rotary’s international priorities, District 3060 plays a vital role in initiatives like polio eradication, disaster relief, and peace building. With a strong network of passionate Rotarians, the district continues to uphold Rotary’s guiding principle: “Service Above Self.”
